Nothing makes me feel more free and independent than travelling on a bicycle.
I ride road bikes, mountain bikes, cyclecross, fat bikes, fixies, and everything in between.
I have cycle toured across Canada, in the United States, Scotland and England.
I have averaged over 7200km per year for the previous 5 years, and I don't plan on slowing down. Follow the link to my Strava account because I'd love to see where you ride too.
I am a contractor & consultant providing geospatial products and services.
If you're curious to see what that actually looks like, head on over to my business website.
Time on the water is magical. It is a whole different force of nature out there, one that I really enjoy.
I've been building my sea miles with offshore passages and yacht deliveries. I am STCW certified, and am working towards my Yachtmaster ticket.
I have accrued over 10,000 bluewater miles, and I believe this is just the beginning of something bigger.
... and the Mediterranean, and Norway. I have pilotted, maintained, diagnosed, and fixed subs in an expedition tourism setting. My attention to detail and technical know-how lends itself to this type of operation.
I believe strongly in open source software and open data. The Open Street Map project
is the perfect example of democratized data. Anyone can contribute, and anyone can use it.
I use and contribute both personally and professionally.
